Terms of Service for WidgetCards

Welcome to WidgetCards! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the WidgetCards mobile application (“App”, “Service”), developed and operated by Peter Marton (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By using WidgetCards, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the app.

1. Use of the App

WidgetCards is a flashcards application designed to help users create, review, and study digital flashcards.

You agree to use WidgetCards only for personal, non-commercial purposes and in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

2. User Content

All flashcards and content you create in the app are stored privately in your iCloud account and are not accessible to us. You retain full ownership of this content.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe on intellectual property rights or violate any laws.

3. Subscription and In-App Purchases

WidgetCards offers an optional subscription (“Pro”) that unlocks additional features.

a. Subscription Terms

  • The subscription is billed through your Apple ID account.
  • It renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device’s Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
  • Payments are handled by Apple; we do not store or process payment details.

b. Refunds

We do not offer refunds for unused subscription time. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support directly.

4. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data. In short:

  • We do not collect personal data.
  • We use Firebase only for anonymous usage analytics.
  • All flashcard data is stored in your personal iCloud account.

5. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these Terms or use the app in a harmful or unlawful manner.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property related to WidgetCards, including the app design, logo, and code, belongs to Peter Marton and is protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

7. Disclaimer

The app is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding its reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of your use or inability to use the app.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app or website. Continued use of WidgetCards after changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.
